Centers or Classrooms for Instructional Delivery
-
Integrated Learning Center (ILC)
The ILC provides an environment for teaching and learning unique on our campus. It opened for a full schedule of classes in the spring semester of 2002. Perhaps most significantly, the Learning Center provides for the integration of students, instructors, advising, technology, and librarians in a resource-rich environment. Classrooms, study facilities, freshman advising and the library are all connected through the Learning Center and equipped with state-of-the-art technology. -
The Communication Collaboratory
The Center for the Management of Information (CMI) and the Department of Communication have teamed up to investigate how technology and the design of collaborative space can affect learning. The collaboratory can be connected to any of CMI's facilities to investigate such issues as social group identification and its impact on conflict. Students analyze their own communication behavior after interacting as a group. The Communication Collaboratory is designed to promote student-centered interaction in the classroom. -
The Center for the Management of Information (CMI)
Through its research in collaborative technology, CMI is furthering the art and science of collaboration, and redefining the way people do their work. CMI develops the technology and applies advanced knowledge of group processes, enabling private and public sector work groups to conduct teamwork around the clock and around the globe.
