On-Site Workshops in 1995
Several CLIPP workshops will be held during 1995. Watch this page for a list of the workshops held during the year, and samples of the work produced at them.
A workshop was held in Dallas, February 24-25, 1995. Attendees included CLIPP graduates from Dallas and Fort Worth. The workshop was held in the Technology Training lab at Nolan Estes. Internet connectivity was provided courtesy of OnRamp Technologies in Dallas. Teachers and others in the Dalls/Fort Worth area will want to check them out for Internet Services. We looked at the Texas Education Network web site, and began the process of transferring our experience in HyperCard to the latest hypertool--hypertext via HTML and the World Wide Web.
We (the Dartmouth staff) were asleep at the switch and neglected to collect up any samples of the fine work accomplished by the Dallas and Fort Worth teachers at this workshop. So if any of you have the apges and graphics you worked on, please send them to Randy Spydell and we'll get their links placed on this page.
Kenwood Academy hosted the Spring 1995 CLIPPEN workshop, April 28-29,1995. Participants enjoyed the wonderful lab full of Power Macintoshes maintained by Pam Slaughtaire and the gracious hospitality arranged by Katie McKnight (CLIPP 93) who teaches at Kenwood. Here are some of the pages constructed in that workshop:
Edythe Freeman
Katie McKnight
Russ Revzan
Nick Repkin
Joe Scotese
The Spring 1995 CLIPPEN workshop, May 5-6,1995, was held at Wayne State University in Detroit. We enjoyed a record turnout for this event, and the lab was GREAT! All Macs were connected to the Internet, and much time was spent "surfin' the 'Net." Despite this fun, many folks produced excellent first web pages. Here is some of their work:
Barbara Pattee
Connie Childress
Claretta Green
Dave Tigertt
Georgie Peterson
Jerome Bokai
Roger Pattee
Paul Hendricks
Susan Romanowski
In this space will go a report on the workshop in Hanover, June 16-17,
1995, for teachers from rural New Hampshire and Vermont from the Boston School District.
