Week Ten: May 24
24 May: TA Elizabeth and Professor Christesen Reporting: This morning we (without the students, who are working on their Independent Study Projects until 28 May) arrived in Monodendri, a tiny town just a few kilometers outside Ioannina, and right near the Vikos Gorge where we'll hike tomorrow. The town, and its neighbors like Megala Papingo, have managed to maintain architectural unity and thus are very aesthetically appealing. The surroundings are lush and the gorge beckons.
