Week Four: April 15

15 April: Leslie and Liz Reporting: Today was wonderful. FREE DAY. Most of us slept in until around noon, except Kari, who is crazy and woke up at 9. There wasn’t much to do, seeing that Pylos takes up about 400 square meters. We had a nice lunch on the water, and Ani successfully ordered octopus for the first time on the trip (after about 15 attempts). Evan and Elizabeth parked themselves in the square in the sun, and pretty much stayed there all day. After lunch, Chris and Randy were pretty set on getting ice cream, while some of the girls wandered around and tried on fake Gucci and Prada glasses. Mainly the day consisted of reading the Illiad and writing journal entries, seeing as they were due the next day. Most of the group ended up eating at a tiny little pizzeria that served portions that could easily have fed all of us until Easter. There’s not much else to tell about this day, but the down time was definitely needed by everyone.

15 April: Leslie and Liz, the leaders for the free day.
