The Children's Environmental Health and Disease Prevention Research Center at Dartmouth brings together a unique interdisciplinary team of scientists and health care providers committed to advancing the understanding of the impact of environmental contaminants on children’s health. Our research focuses on toxicants in food and drinking water such as arsenic, and assessing these exposures using state-of-the-art biomarkers.  By conducting highly inter-related and innovative studies we hope to identify effects of environmental agents early in life that may impact lifelong health. We are also committed to developing ways to translate our research findings to communities and health care providers and to be responsive to their needs relating to children's health and the environment.
