In order to titrate every ion of KHP, you must transfer all of the solid.
This quantitative transfer is done be rinsing the vial with water and
transferring the solution to the Erlenmeyer. Repeat this rinsing twice.
For more information, see the Quantititive Transfer page in the
Techniques section.

Making an Ion Exchange Column | |

Follow the same procedure you used last week to make an ion exchange column for
the analysis of your seawater sample.

A pipet will be used to measure a small amount of seawater very accurately. A
pipet bulb is used to draw solution into the pipet.
Detailed information about how to use a pipet can be found in the Techniques
section of the site on the pipet
page.
