* Exercise 4.2, see Strauss page 54. The question asks if an S4 axis is present, but the manual doesn't answer it for parts a and b. Since there is an Sinfinity axis in the Dinifinty-h point group appropriate for a and b, it includes an S4 axis as well.
* #1.3, page 4. The answer refers to periodic tables on the inside front and back covers of the book, but these covers are blank.
* #3.17, page 42. The answer says [HHeH]2+ has 4 electrons, but it really only has 2.
* # 5.6, page 65. The answer refers to delocalization of the N lone pair onto the 3 Si atoms. They don't say how this would work......N-Si ¼-bonding involving the Si d-orbitals and the N p-orbitals is often suggested.
* Page 8, #1.11. The last line refers to the "special stability of half-filled subshell configurations." Although many textbooks comment on this (and make similar comments on filled shells), they are avoiding a better explanation, based on Zeff, electron-electron repulsion, etc. See also #s 1.13 and 1.15 for similar comments.
