The Merck Index Award

Each year, through the auspices of the Merck Company, the faculty of the chemistry department awards the Merck Index to one or more graduating students "who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the field of chemistry."

The Merck Index wax first published in 1889. Its 14th edition was released in September, 2006, and included a companion CD and access to the web version of the online Index.
