Campaigns

A cornerstone of LTCS is the conduct of campaigns involving simultaneous observations by a variety of instruments distributed globally over periods of several consecutive days.

Since some instruments are capable of automatic observation over extended periods of time while others such as the ISRs are not, LTCS campaigns are defined as a 30-day period centered on a "core" interval. The core interval is the period during which the ISRs operate. Thus, anyone with observations during the 30-day campaign period are welcome to join in collaborative efforts.
