Please complete the following Proposal Form. Proposals that demonstrate collaboration among organizations and strive for intergroup dialogue and engagement are highly encouraged. We hope to receive proposals representing a broad range of activities from in-depth dialogues with a few participants to larger, campus-wide programs. Priority will be given to RFPs that align with our sub-themes for the specific term (see the Current Theme page); however, we will accept all proposals that align with our main theme.
The deadline for proposals for winter term is noon on January 17, 2014. Proposal budgets should not exceed $4,000. The selection committee may choose to award full or partial funding. Successful proposal submitters will be contacted on, or around, January 24, 2014.
There will be an additional opportunity to submit proposals for the spring 2014 term. The deadline for submissions for the spring term round is April 4, 2014. Successful proposal submitters will be contacted on, or around, April 11, 2014.
Upon completion of the project, grantees will be required to submit a one-page description of the event along with (a) the number of community members involved in the event; (b) 2-3 digital photos (with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi, as an email attachment) showing community members participating in the event; (c) reflection on what was achieved. This must be sent within 72 hours of the event. This information should be sent to the DCF and will be posted on the DCF website, or others as appropriate.
Please note: DCF member organizations are available to assist with programming in their fields of expertise, working cooperatively with students, faculty members or staff to produce an event. For advice and guidance in developing proposals, please contact the DCF chair, Eric Ramsey.
