Founded in 1988, the Center for Gender and Student Engagement, students, staff, and faculty associated with the CGSE strive to build a campus-wide community that respects differences and offers students opportunities to engage in gender-based work outside the classroom. The CGSE fulfills this mission through programming, events, individual and student group advising, and individual engagement opportunities.
