The following points summarize the regrade policy with respect to homeworks. Note that all requests for regrade will be handled by Prof. Gross and that he will examine the entire homework and will regrade all those parts he feels appropriate. All requests for regrades MUST be handed in within one week of when the homework is returned. No regrade requests will be considered after that time.
The number of points given for each answer is considered final. If, after reviewing your answers, you find an arithmetic error or detect an omission by the grader for one of the questions, you must observe the following procedures:
- a) Prepare a typed explanation of your concerns and submit it to Prof. Gross by email. Prof. Gross has the original of your graded homework so it is not necessary to send it to him.
-
- b) If you find an addition error, indicate on the explanation that an addition error has occurred. Specify the page and question number. All arithmetic errors will be corrected and recorded.
-
- c) If you believe that your answer contains all of the information necessary, but you did not receive full credit, simply indicate the number of the question to be re-evaluated and state in one or two paragraphs of descriptive sentences what makes your answer correct. The citation of a text page, figure, or reference to a lecture date/number will also be helpful. Prof. Gross reserves the right to re-evaluate any question in the homework.
