1. Center for the National Interest; Summer Internship (DC)

Internships for undergraduate and graduate interested in international affairs for volunteer (unpaid) internship positions. Duties differ from program to program but generally involve research, administrative support, and event organization. The Center is currently seeking interns for the following programs: U.S.-Russian Relations, Energy Security and Climate, and Regional Security Programs (Middle East and Caspian Basin). 2. Global Policy Solutions (GPS); Media Content Intern/Fellow (DC)

GPS is a social change strategy firm. Intern will be responsible for providing research on potential contributors and subject areas, soliciting contributions, conducting outreach and maintaining relationships with contributors, and coordinating and helping to promote content.

3. Freedom House; New York Internship (Post Grad); New York, NY

The Intern will have the opportunity to become involved with diverse activities associated with the research and production of the three main annual surveys produced in the New York office. Bachelor’s degree required.

4. Abt Associates; Environmental Economist Intern (Bethesda, MD)

The Environment and Resources Division (ERD) assists federal and state environmental and resource management agencies address complex policy, management, and regulatory challenges. The summer intern will support an interdisciplinary team conducting research in support of national-level environmental programs.

5. United States Association of Former Members of Congress (FMC); Summer Internship (DC)

Interns assist staff with programming, specifically the Congressional Study Groups (Germany, Turkey, and Japan) and democracy building programs.  Language proficiency and Hill experience are a plus, but are not required.

6. Urban Institute; Research – Income and Benefits Policy Center (Seattle, WA)

The Income and Benefits Policy Center is looking for a Research Assistant to work with senior team members investigating income security issues. The operation of safety net programs will be a primary focus. Other topics may include economic mobility, poverty, food insecurity, Social Security and retirement savings. Bachelor’s degree in a social science field (such as economics, political science, sociology, or anthropology) is required.

7. Foundation for Individual Rights in Education(FIRE); Program Associate, Campus Freedom Network (Philadelphia, PA)

FIRE is a nonprofit educational foundation defending free speech, individual liberty, religious freedom, freedom of conscience, legal equality, due process, and academic freedom on our nation’s campuses. The Program Associate will primarily be engaged in organizing and expanding FIRE’s student outreach programs.
