1. Undergraduate Fellows Program, Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy ; Columbia University

Provides the opportunity to collaborate with ISERP-affiliated faculty members on ongoing social science research. Gain hands-on experience by working on projects within disciplines such as Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Public Health, and Statistics. All undergraduate students are eligible to apply. 2. Public Service Fellows Program, Partnership for Public service; Washington, DC

Opportunity for undergraduate students and recent graduates. Fellows’ duties vary but often include event planning and execution, conducting research, writing and preparing correspondence, and conducting outreach to external partners, such as government agencies and colleges and universities.  Fellows will receive a monthly stipend. Deadline: March 9

3. Summer Internship, Future of Music Coalition

Future of Music Coalition is a national non-profit education, research and advocacy organization that identifies, examines, interprets and translates the challenging issues at the intersection of music, law, technology and policy. 4. Code for America, Fellowship Program (Post-Grad) (11mos.)

Talented web developers, designers, and entrepreneurs leverage the power of the internet to make governments more open and efficient, and in doing so, they become civic leaders able to realize transformational change in government with technology. Fellows work to help cities innovate, and receive the training and support to be positioned as a leader in business, public service, or both. Deadline: March 18

5. Summer 2012 Political Fellow, Women’s Campaign Fund; Washington, DC

The Women’s Campaign Fund is dedicated to advancing the political participation and leadership of women who support reproductive health choices for all. WCF, founded in 1974, is a non-partisan national network dedicated to achieving parity for women in public office. Fellows work 36 hours a week and will receive a $500 per month stipend. Deadline: April 1

6. Center for Immigration Studies Internship Program

The Center for Immigration Studies is the nation’s only think tank devoted exclusively to the research of U.S. immigration policy and is a leading voice in the drive to inform policymakers and the public about immigration’s far-reaching impact.  Undergraduate interns are accepted for all semesters.  Interns assist the Center’s staff with a variety of research, media relations, and administrative tasks. Applications are accepted year-round.

7. Research Assistant, U.S. Climate Initiative; Washington DC

WRI’s Climate and Energy Program seeks a research assistant to provide research, analysis, and other support. The U.S. Climate team works to provide timely, accurate, and non-partisan research information to policymakers at both the state and federal level. Join a team focused on opportunities for federal agencies and states to drive reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
