Career Tip: “Red Flags” in the Job Search
Why job seekers are disqualified in the job search:
1. Inattention to details and sloppy grammar in cover letters & resumes
2. Questionable or offensive auto-replies, nicknames, Facebook accounts & telephone messages
3. Factual discrepancies between your resume and cover letter
4. Not strategically relating applicant’s background to the job – not understanding the job
5. Dressing inappropriately
6. Interrupting the interviewer
