Fellows’ duties vary across the Partnership’s internal teams but often include event planning and execution, conducting research, writing and preparing correspondence, and conducting outreach to external partners, such as government agencies and colleges and universities.
2: Brad Schneider for Congress, Political Campaign Internship (January Start)
Exciting, Northshore Campaign seeks motivated interns for its field team. Interns will gain valuable experience in political campaigning and voter outreach. They will be an integral part of the field team’s grassroots efforts to connect with voters and promote campaign visibility throughout the city. Assist in planning and staffing field events. Connect with voters through canvassing and phone banks. Database management and maintenance
Qualif: strong interest in Democratic politics required; Highly motivated and willing to work on individual and group projects; Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as written and oral communication and organizational skills; Familiarity with Microsoft Office; Experience with NGP-VAN database is a plus but not required; Hours are flexible (we ask for 15-20 a week) and can be adapted to fit your schedule. The internship length is also negotiable. Interns will be based out of campaign headquarters in Northbrook, but must be willing to travel around the Northshore for campaign activities, such as visibility events (i.e. parades, street festivals & fundraising events).
3: Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress, Policy Internship-Washington, DC
The research department of the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress is currently offering unpaid internships for undergraduate students with a demonstrated interest in the Presidency and U.S. government policy. Students in all majors are welcome to apply, especially those studying political science, history, international relations, economics, or business. 4: The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), 2012 Spring Student Internship Program
The Securities and Exchange Commission selects volunteer interns for its Spring Student Internship Program. Students have the opportunity to work for ten weeks during the spring at the SEC’s Washington DC headquarters or at one of its Regional Offices (Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, and San Francisco.
