EP Services Offered

The Inpatient Electrophysiology Service at DHMC provides state-of-the-art care for a broad area of cardiac electrophysiologic problems, including:

  • Relief/cure of tachycardia using catheter ablation or antiarrhythmic drug therapy.
  • Diagnosis and management of syncope using electrophysiologic testing, implantable loop recorders and head-up tilt table testing.
  • Prevention of sudden cardiac death using implantable defibrillators.
  • Improvement in heart failure symptoms with biventricular pacing.
  • Implantation of pacemakers for bradycardia and advanced conduction system disease.

Outpatient electrophysiology services include:

  • Atrial Fibrillation Clinic: Our clinic employs a multi-modality approach to difficult-to-manage atrial fibrillation, using expert pharmacologic management, radiofrequency catheter ablation, and device implantation (implantable defibrillators and pacemakers with atrial fibrillation prevention and treatment algorithms).
  • General outpatient consultative services for management of dysrhythmias and syncope.
  • Pacemaker and ICD follow-up clinics, including remote follow-up.
