EP Services Offered
The Inpatient Electrophysiology Service at DHMC provides state-of-the-art care for a broad area of cardiac electrophysiologic problems, including:
- Relief/cure of tachycardia using catheter ablation or antiarrhythmic drug therapy.
- Diagnosis and management of syncope using electrophysiologic testing, implantable loop recorders and head-up tilt table testing.
- Prevention of sudden cardiac death using implantable defibrillators.
- Improvement in heart failure symptoms with biventricular pacing.
- Implantation of pacemakers for bradycardia and advanced conduction system disease.
Outpatient electrophysiology services include:
- Atrial Fibrillation Clinic: Our clinic employs a multi-modality approach to difficult-to-manage atrial fibrillation, using expert pharmacologic management, radiofrequency catheter ablation, and device implantation (implantable defibrillators and pacemakers with atrial fibrillation prevention and treatment algorithms).
- General outpatient consultative services for management of dysrhythmias and syncope.
- Pacemaker and ICD follow-up clinics, including remote follow-up.
