Electrophyiology Lab: Research

Cardiac Electrophysiologic Services at DHMC is involved with ongoing research in a variety of areas and hosts both bench research and clinical trials for involvement of appropriate patients.

Ongoing research within the EP lab at this time include:

• Two collaborative projects with Creare, Inc. studying prognosis in atrial fibrillation by evaluating signal processing in AF, both from the body surface and with intra-cardiac recording.
• A series of studies evaluating outcomes in patients with syncope and ventricular tachycardia.
• A multicenter trial sponsored by Guidant Corporation evaluating determinants of ICD shocks.
