Inpatient Electrophysiology Services at DHMC provides state-of-the-art care in a broad area of cardiac electrophysiologic problems, including:
- Prevention of sudden cardiac death using implantable defibrilators
- Relief/cure of tachcardia using radiofrequency ablation
- Improvement in heart failure symptoms with biventricular pacing
- Diagnosis and management of syncope using electrophysiologic study, implantable loop recorders and head-up tilt table testing.
- Implantation of pacemakers for bradycardia and advanced conduction system disease.
Outpatient electrophysiologic services include:
- Atrial Fibrillation Clinic: Our clinic employs a multi-modality approach to difficult-to-manage atrial fibrillation using expert pharmacologic management, radiofrequency catheter ablation, and device implantation (including implantable defibrillators and AF suppressing pacemakers)
- Pacemaker and ICD follow-up clinics
- General outpatient consultative services for management of dysrhythmias and syncope.
- Transtelephonic monitoring of patients with pacemakers
