Cardiovascular Clinical Research Unit
The Cardiology Clinical Research Unit (CCRU) at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center comprises cardiologists, several research nurses, technicians and support staff. Their mission is to offer patients referred to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center access to those drugs and devices which may improve medical care. Since its inception in 1990, the unit has enrolled over 600 patients from northern New England in a wide variety of protocols involving the diagnosis and treatment of congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndromes, hyperlipidemia and cardiac arrhythmias.
