Cardiology Update Symposium 2006

DHMC Cardiology will host its 24rd "Cardiology Update Symposium" on Monday December 4, 2006. Taking place in Auditoriums E&F at the main DHMC Campus, this year's symposium will be divided into three sections, including:

  • "Bread and Butter" Cardiology: Focusing on common clinical problems including syncope, pericarditis, cardiomyopathy, and management of the cardiac patient undergoing non-cardiac surgery.
  • Cardiovascular Emergencies: Focusing on early management of common cardiovascular emergencies, including cardiogenic shock, aortic disection and the large abdominal aortic aneurism.
  • Case Presenations: These brief case presentations will bring attention to common problems encountered in the office and offer updates on diagnosis and management of asymptomatic conduction abnormalities, new onset CHF, and the management of the patient with chronic mitral regurgitation.
