Continuing Education

The Section of Cardiology at DHMC hosts a variety of educational programs oriented to the general internist, cardiologist and fellowship trainee, including:

• Daily noon-time conferences on a variety of topics
• Cardiology Grand Rounds
• A yearly Echocardiography Symposium
• A yearly Cardiology Symposium in early December
• A yearly Heart Failure Symposium

Weekly Thursday Evening Conference: Open to both DHMC and regional physicians, these weekly conferences include research updates, Cardiology Grand Round presentations by DHMC cardiologists, and invited lectures from experts both nationally and internationally. These lectures generally take place on Thursday evenings at 5pm in Auditorium E or G at the Main Campus at DHMC.

Cardiology Update Symposium: Each year DHMC Cardiology hosts a Cardiology Update symposium, directed to cardiologists, family practitioners, internists, and mid-level providers within our region. The last symposium was on December 6, 2004.
