Continuing Education Events
The Sections of Cardiac Surgery, Cardiology and Vascular Surgery at DHMC host a variety of educational programs oriented to the general internist, cardiologist and fellowship trainee, including:
- Daily noon-time conferences on a variety of topics
- Cardiology Grand Rounds
- A yearly Echocardiography Symposium
- A yearly Cardiology Symposium in early December
- A yearly Device Development Symposium
- A yearly Heart Failure Symposium
- A yearly update on the management of vascular disease
Weekly Thursday Evening Conference: Open to both DHMC and regional physicians, these weekly conferences include research updates, Cardiology Grand Round presentations by DHMC cardiologists, and invited lectures from experts both nationally and internationally. These lectures generally take place on Thursday evenings at 5pm in Auditorium E or G at the Main Campus at DHMC.

Cardiology Update Symposium: Each year DHMC Cardiology hosts a Cardiology Update symposium, directed to cardiologists, family practitioners, internists, and mid-level providers within our region. The last symposium was on December 6, 2004.
