Cardiology Update Symposium
DHMC Cardiology has a long tradition of physician education and has offered annual updates on topics of interest to providers within our region for more than 20 years. Growing from a small gathering of physicians at the Hanover Inn, the symposium in 2005 was attended by nearly 150 physicians and mid-level providers.
The intent of the symposium has remained constant over the years and is two-fold:
- to update regional practitioners on new diagnostic techniques and treatments in cardiology
- to provide a review of mainstream cardiology topics
Symposiums tend to occur in early December, are attended by a broad range of practitioners including family practioners, internists, cardiologists, mid-level providers, and nurses. Continuing education credits (CME) are provided to participating physicians.
