Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Recognition Dinner -Friday April 18, 2008
Helping out at the dinner for the Bugbee Senior Center's volunteers.

Annual event to show appreciation for the volunteers that support the Bugbee Senior Center in White River. We were hoping that your group would be available to wait on tables for us, so that our regular volunteers can enjoy the evening off.

The event will take place on Friday April 18, 2008. We would need help starting at 4:45 PM and dinner and cleanup should be done by 6:15 or 6:30. We probably need 5-6 people if possible. It would work out well if your folks could be here around 4:30 to get ready to serve. Anyone that would like to eat would be welcome after dinner has been taken care of. Please contact Pat to let him know you are coming so he can make sure that your 're entered into the volunteer door prize raffle to be held after dinner.

The volunteers really appreciate being treated to not volunteering and also like to set you up with their eligible grandchildren.

Mascoma High School Driver

Mascoma High School islooking for is a reliable driver. Many of their students have jobs and internship opportunities during the school day and after school. Transportation for these students is a huge problem.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to help kids and even, to influence them, if they have a mind. There will have to be a pretty comprehensive background check. And it’s possible that they can get reimbursement for mileage, though they are not sure. In any event, this is important work and would help a student to really expand his or her horizons.
