Single Volunteers of the Upper Valley

"Making Friends While Making a Difference"

What is this group?
The Single Volunteers of the Upper Valley (SVUV) serves as a link between volunteers and local non-profits. If you are a local non-profit organization you can ask the Single Volunteers of the Upper Valley for help with fundraisers, projects and other events that you are holding. We will put the information on our web site and send to our email list.

If you are interested in helping others in the community you can ask to be added to our email list and also check our web site frequently. We put the information about upcoming volunteer opportunities on our web site and email our list once or twice a month. Membership on our email list is free.

Since 2000 over 6,000 hours of volunteer time have been donated to the community. You can add to this total by checking this web site frequently for current opportunities: Volunteer Opportunities

I need Volunteers!: See our page on requesting volunteers: Need Volunteers.

The Single Volunteers of the Upper Valley was formed in 1997. It was modeled after other single volunteer organizations around the country. We are based in the Upper Valley area of New Hampshire and Vermont which is centered around White River Junction-Norwich, Vermont and Hanover-Lebanon, New Hampshire.

We are a program of RSVP and the Volunteer Center, a United Way Agency sponsored by Grafton County Seniors Citizens Council, Inc. They provide insurance and other resources to us, but SVUV is run by its own advisory council and is open to any independent singles over 21
