So, You Want To Use Brewster For Your Own Purposes?
You Must Both Ask Nicely and Play By The Rules.

How to Reserve the Kitchen or Lounge of the International House at Brewster.
* Outside Organizations:   Please blitz the International House Program Coordinator (IHPC) for availability and reservations.  Reservations come on a first come, first serve basis.

* Brewster Residents::  If facilities have not been previously reserved for the Brewster events or organizational programming, you may reserve them by notifying the IHPC.

* Outside Individuals:  Sorry! You are not allowed to reserve the facilties. However, if no one else is using them, you can sneak some time in. Bear in mind that Brewster Residents and outside organizations may legitimately kick you out at any time.

PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE -- KEEP THE COMMON SPACES CLEAN!

House Rules: The Line Between Law and Order, Virtue and Sin, Order and Chaos
RULE ONE:  The common areas in Brewster (study lounge, kitchen, restrooms, corridors) -- and the rooms -- are all strictly no-smoking areas.

RULE TWO:  Regarding the Kitchen:
 
2a.  Do not forget to clean up (kitchen counters and house dishes) after use and also make sure you keep your stuff (oil, spices etc.) in one of the cupboards and not on the countertops.

2b.  Please label all your stuff stored in the refrigerators and cupboards (this will help us identify stuff and would also make sure that they do not get thrown out). Labels should indicate name, room number, and date of first storage).

2c.  Bear in mind that refrigerators will be cleaned on a regular basis and old/unlabeled stuff will be thrown away. 

RULE THREE:  Concerning the basement conference table/lounge:
 
If you want to use it for a meeting/event, make a reservation. DO NOT FORGET to CLEAN UP AFTER USE. Please blitz  the IHPC, Shelly Krebs 'GR to make a reservation.

RULE FOUR:   As for the Study Room:
 
4a.  Do not store stuff in the study room and make sure you clean up the place after you are done.

4b.  Do not remove reference and periodical materials from the library, and remember to return all other books to their respective shelves as soon as you are done with them.
