The Dartmouth Brasstones was formed from members of the Dartmouth Brass Society in September of 2002.  With support from the Robert Dance '77 Arts Initiative Fund of the Hopkins Center the ensemble arranged a week-long program in New York City where they received coaching from members of the American Brass Quintet and a former member of the New York Brass Quintet (see pictures below!).  Since then We have had several recitals at Dartmouth and have performed a variety of music, including many original compositions for brass quintet.
