About Me

I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Dartmouth College. Prior to moving to Hanover, I have spent three years at MIT CSAIL, working in the Computer Graphics Group and Computational Fabrication Group with Prof. Wojciech Matusik. I received my Ph.D. from the Computer Science Department at Stanford University in June 2015, advised by Prof. Ron Fedkiw. I studied for my B.Eng. and M.Sc. degrees at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

My group's research interests lie in the interdisciplinary area of computer graphics, computational physics, and physics-related AI algorithms. We develop highly intelligent and efficient computational systems to solve challenges associated with our complex physical world, such as simulating soap bubbles and pizza cheese, creating 3D printable microstructural robots, designing drones, sketching a defected human heart, and discovering biomemetic structures. We are fascinated by the alluring beauty of the Nature and committed to the creation of various computer algorithms to uncover these intricate mechanics (see Research Overview).
