The Computing and Media Services staff support the computing environment and media resources in the Biomedical Libraries. The primary clientele of the computing resources and collections are the students and faculty of the Dartmouth Medical School. Other users include health professionals affiliated with the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and students and faculty of the Dartmouth College Department of Biological Sciences.

Computer clusters are maintained on the third floor of Dana Library and within the Matthews-Fuller Library. The clusters contain both Macintosh and Windows computers, local printers, and scanning workstations. All of the computers are connected to the Dartmouth or DHMC networks and wireless access is available throughout both Libraries. Many local and network resources are available which support the Medical School curriculum.

The media collections include items in the following formats: 35mm slide, audiocassette, 1/2" (VHS) videocassette, microforms (film and fiche), models, videodiscs, CD-ROM and DVD. In support of continuing education efforts for clinical personnel, the Libraries also subscribe to audiovisual serials, such as the Network for Continuing Medical Education's videocassette programs and the Audio Digest Foundation's audiocassettes on clinical specialties.

Computing and Media Services also provides scheduling and media support for the Dana Library classrooms.

Computing and Media Services danacms@dartmouth.edu (650-1663). is staffed by David Izzo, Don Fitzpatrick, and Jamie Dalton.
