The Britannica Online is a fully searchable version of the the Encyclopaedia Britannica, recognized as the world's most comprehensive and authoritative encyclopedia in English. Known for its scholarly approach, many of the articles are signed by scholars, and include bibliographies to lead the reader further.
The Britannica Online offers additional access to hundreds of articles not included in the printed edition. A continuing development is the inclusion of thousands of links to other relevant World Wide Web sites selected by Britannica editors.
