Endotext.org is a web-based source of information on endocrine disorders that is written by physicians, and is directed to physicians caring for patients with endocrine and metabolic problems around the world. Endotext is organized by Leslie J De Groot, MD, Research Professor, Department of Cellular and Molecular Biology, University of Rhode Island, and Professor Emeritus and Director of the Thyroid Study Unit at the University of Chicago. Twelve section editors and nearly 400 authors have contributed chapters to the text. It is comprehensive, authoritative, un-biased, and constantly up-dated (most recently updated 26 August 2013), and is available without cost to physicians, residents and students. All material may be freely downloaded for personal use.

This site covers the broad area of clinical endocrinology, emphasizing pathophysiology and clinical endocrine practice, including the most current information on the manifestations of endocrine disorders, their diagnosis and treatment. Included in its 14 sections is coverage of such areas as pituitary diseases and neuroendocrinology, endocrinology of male and female reproduction, adrenal disease, and pediatric and geriatric endocrinology.
