ANDP's goal is to advance education and research training in academic neuroscience programs by disseminating information about neuroscience education and providing a forum for discussion of issues in training and research at both the institutional and national levels.

  • fMRI Data Center
A public repository, maintained at Dartmouth College, of peer-reviewed fMRI studies and their underlying data.

  • Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts
Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts covers three areas: research in linguistics; research in language; and research in speech, language and hearing pathology. The database consists of bibliographic records with abstracts from over 2,600 journals from 50 countries. (Licensed for use at Dartmouth/DHMC only.)

  • MEDLINEplus Brain & Nervous System Topics
Links to information about brain and nervous system diseases with a consumer-oriented focus.

  • The MIT Encyclopedia of Cognitive Sciences
Full-text introductory articles and essays in cognitive sciences, arranged in six sections: Philosophy; Psychology; Neurosciences; Computational Intelligence; Linguistics and Language; and Culture, Cognition, and Evolution. Part of CogNet, a large collection of full-text information on neuroscience. (Licensed for use at Dartmouth/DHMC only.)

  • National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases
The mission of the NIAMS is to support research into the causes, treatment, and prevention of arthritis and musculoskeletal and skin diseases, the training of basic and clinical scientists to carry out this research, and the dissemination of information on research progress in these diseases.

  • National Institute of Mental Health
NIMH provides national leadership dedicated to understanding, treating, and preventing mental illnesses through basic research on the brain and behavior, and through clinical, epidemiological, and services research. Home of the Human Brain Project: http://www.nimh.nih.gov/neuroinformatics/index.cfm

  • National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke
NINDS supports and conducts basic and clinical research on the normal and diseased nervous system, fosters the training of investigators in the basic and clinical neurosciences, and seeks better understanding, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of neurological disorders.

  • National Institute on Drug Abuse
NIDA sponsors research on the health aspects of drug abuse and addiction to further understanding of how drugs of abuse affect the brain and behavior.

  • Neuroanatomy and Neuropathology on the Internet
A searchable directory of Internet sites on neuroanatomy, neuropathology, and neurology.

  • Neuroinformatics Portal
A pilot website linking to publicly available neuroinformatics experimental data, numerical tools, and computer models. The site also contains information about research groups, ongoing activities, links to re- and preprint servers and other resources.

  • The Neuroinformatics Site
Neuroinformatics.org compiles information about courses, meetings, and fellowships in neuroinformatics.

  • Neurosciences on the Internet
A guide to neurosciences resources available on the Internet.

  • PsycINFO
PsycINFO indexes international literature in psychology and related disciplines dating back to 1887. The database also includes literature from an array of disciplines related to psychology such as psychiatry, education, business, medicine, nursing, pharmacology, law, linguistics, and social work.
