Publications include academic/scholarly, trade and some newspapers. Search for articles on companies, industries, and business topics, e.g. business conditions, management techniques, business trends, management practice and theory, corporate strategy and tactics, and competitive landscape, marketing, product development, and industry conditions worldwide.

Large database with full text access to more than 6,000 newspapers, magazines, and trade publications in general news, business, law, and medicine.

LexisNexis - Statistical
Access: Go to the Lexis-Nexis link from the Biomedical Libraries homepage. Next, choose statistical "Statistical" link at the bottom left of the Lexis-Nexis page.
Database providing access to statistics of all types. Especially good for U.S. statistics though it does have some international statistics as well. Some of the information refers you to another source where you need to get the actual tables, but often the tables are in the database in full.

Medical and Healthcare Marketplace Guide

Provides information on what the current markets are and forecasts future markets in the healthcare field. Also provides an in-depth look at company information.

Medline/PubMed
Access: PubMed via the Biomedical Libraries homepage under "Resources."
Medline is the NLM's premier bibliographic database covering the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and the preclinical sciences. Medline contains bibliographic citations and author abstracts from more than 5,000 biomedical journals published in the United States and 70 other countries as well as links to a large percentage of full-text articles. The database contains over 15 million citations dating back to the mid-1950's. Coverage is worldwide, but most records are from English-language sources or have English abstracts.

Clearinghouse of information from US government on health statistics. Sponsored by the CDC.

TableBase
Access: "Launch a Database" from the Feldberg Library Business Information Webpage.
TableBase specializes exclusively in tabular data dealing with companies, industries, products and demographics. Tables cover market share, rankings, forecasts, shipments, output, consumption, users, exports, imports, capacity and more. It contains a range of sources including trade and business publications, investment research, trade associations, statistical annuals, primary research, international organizations and government. For tables from the trade and business press and reports, full text is available along with tables, in most cases.
