I've identified an article;
how can I get a copy of it?

To see whether a journal is at Dartmouth in order to read an article or copy it yourself:

  • In the Dartmouth Library Catalog, use the "title" search option and search for the title (or "source") of the journal in which the article is found (not the article title or author). The catalog will tell you whether Dartmouth owns the journal and where it is located. If a journal is available in digital format, the catalog will provide a direct link.

  • There is also an alphabetical list of biomedical journals in digital format (eJournals).

To request that the Biomedical Libraries provide you with a copy of the article from a journal, whether or not it is at Dartmouth: Use the Biomedical Libraries' DartDoc Service to request a copy of an article.

I need to find where a particular book or journal is at Dartmouth.

I'd like to request a book that isn't available at Dartmouth.

To request that the book be obtained from another library so that you can borrow it:

To request that the Biomedical Libraries consider the book for purchase to add to the collection: Use the Recommend a Book or Journal Purchase form.
