This electronic textbook, sponsored with a Hughes Science Initiative at Emory University, is designed by Dr. G. Orloff, a professor of biology at Emory University . The intent of the site is to inform patients, families and caregivers about basic cell biology and the changes due to cancer. Topics such as genetics, cell structure, diagnosis and treatment and clinical trials are covered.
Dana Farber Cancer Institute
Patient Information on cancer treatment, recovery, and prevention to educate patients and families, and encourage them to take an active role in their own care.
Johns Hopkins Pancreatic Cancer

National Cancer Institute PDQ Treatment Summaries for Patients
Offers summary descriptions and treatments for approximately 30 different types of cancer. Summaries are available in versions for patients and professionals.
National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship
A national cancer patient advocacy group promoting awareness of patient issues and providing state and federal legislatures with guidance on issues related to cancer. The web site provides a guide on searching the web for cancer-related information.
