I think your Medline approach is just fine. I played around with a
slightly different approach:

1 :  exp *smoking cessation
2 :  exp adolesence/
3 :  1 and 2

... but that yields A LOT (245 articles after you limit to English
and Human). If you needed more references or information, or if
you needed a different perspective, resources other than MEDLINE
could be used. ERIC (for Education) and PsycInfo come to mind, and
I'll bet there's interesting stuff on the web.
