Library Grand Rounds
Medical Images: Finding, Downloading, Presentation Slides (PDF) Research Guide: Finding, Downloading, and Managing Medical Images Presentation Video Stream (RealMedia Player Software) Need a specific medical digital image for your next Powerpoint presentation? This Library Grand Rounds focused on how to obtain digital images for your teaching, research, and clinical projects. We provided recipes for both finding medical digital images on the web and for using them in PowerPoint presentations and publications. We briefly discussed some of the bigger issues impacting digital medical images including file compression and archiving images. Fred Pond, MLS, Biomedical and Nursing Librarian, demonstrated web resources that can help you find the images you need. Patrick Saine, M.Ed, C.R.A., Manager of Ophthalmic Photography at DHMC and author of Practical Retinal Photography and Digital Imaging Techniques, will share his secrets for successfully managing digital images. No registration was necessary. Library Grand Rounds are a forum for presenting information resources and tools of interest to Dartmouth clinicians. Please contact Karen Odato, the Libraries' Education Coordinator, if you have questions, comments or suggestions for future Library Grand Rounds.
