We are happy to announce that we have made major changes to our major,
minor and curriculum. The new biology major gives students the
opportunity to focus on an area of study that will help cultivate their
interest in biology and reach their career goals. Each student can design
his/her area of concentration. Some possible areas of concentration are,
behavior and neurobiology, biochemistry, cell biology, development, ecology,
evolutionary ecology, genetics, genomics, bioinformatics and computer biology,
human biology, molecular evolution, molecular genetics, paleobiology,
physiology and organismal biology, plant biology, plant molecular biology and
secondary education.

If you are a member of the class of 2010 or 2011, please click

We encourage you to talk with any member of the biology department faculty
to design an area of concentration that meets your needs.
