
The Dartmouth Society of Biological Sciences is an organization dedicated to stimulating undergraduate interest in the life sciences, promoting the appreciation of research and scholarship relevant to biological sciences, and fostering the development of relationships between students and Department Faculty through seminars, informal dinners and gatherings. On Thursday, February 5th, the Undergraduate Society of Biological Sciences and DUJS co-sponsored a talk by author David Dobbs in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Darwin's Birthday.
On January 8th, we held a town meeting with faculty from biology to talk about the curriculum. Eight faculty members and 28 students participated in a discussion of Bio 11, the current curriculum, upper-level courses and advising. We also discussed they types of events we would like to sponsor.
