Calliandro emarginata plantCalliandro emarginata: The genus Calliandra  is a loose translation from the Greek for "beautiful stamens". Common names are 'pink powder puff' and 'pink fireworks shrub.' This plant is native to South and Central American and blooms in the heat of New England summers.

It's a reliable spring bloomer, faithfully putting on it's show in late March and Early April.
