This is the American embassy in Bangui. I worked here part time during much of my stay in Bangui and really enjoyed working with everyone. The embassy staff was outstanding and we had great leadership from the very top, Ambassador Robert Gribbin. The ambassador was incredibly generous in letting members of the American community use the pool at his residence and in sponsoring functions for the entire community. I'll also add that he was a very decent softball player, a fact that can be statistically verified by the complete scorecards kept by his wife, Connie, at our weekly games!
