Meeting notes (draft) from Edit Board 8/6/03
Present: Bill B, Ellen Y, Dave B. Vacations: Marie S, Tish A. Conflict: Susan Z. Meeting note: We're going to book the Wednesday 1 pm slot on a weekly basis for the next six months. Please holler if that's a problem -- it seems to be working ok.
Public/Wilson migrationsoftware.dartmouth.edu is coming together. It will host the 15 top download packages from Public and Wilson until a more permanent solution can be found. Ellen is working on getting content together by the end of August. The master list of 150 applications to be moved off Public/Wilson is being reviewed. Ellen created a categorization scheme for these applications, and the group is currently reviewing it. To trim the list of 150 apps, Ellen will be checking server logs to see which applications have been inactive for lengthy periods of time.
Technical Svcs contentDavid liked what was up there. Perhaps more could be added in future iterations.
Computing Web site timetableBill reviewed current round of user testing. Discussion ensued regarding need for additional user testing if the delivered architecture had already been tested. Bill will review notes and discuss with Jay. Group agreed in principle to a methodical content review process. One person is responsible for content in each section, with much cross checking and review by others. One section is kicked off each week; each section takes roughly three weeks to tune, test, and adjust. If the delivered architecture is ready to go without major structural modifications, the content review could begin as soon as next week. Bill will distribute the timeline he showed folks.
Interface ideas Group took a quick look at what's in, out for September. Bill will post list shortly.

Interface to relaunch in September
The frequency of publication over the past few years has matched the status of my health. But the plan is to bring it back, now that my health situation has improved a bit, with an editorial board and a regular cycle, as a monthly publication.
Story ideas for the first issue: Some background on the work to overhaul the c-svcs web site; the new editorial board and the soon-to-be-created Strategic Advisory Committee.
Definitely the flat rate billing plan, the Vocera trail. Do we need to write about the budget? Strategic Plan? Convergence. Admin Computing restructuring.
