Production Links for Banner
Banner News
A new configuration of Banner Forms has been set up for testing. You can test Banner Forms by going to the
Testing Menu
link on the right side of this page.
This is not a new version of Banner,
but rather the existing version set up in a different way technically. You may be prompted to download a Java
plug-in. If this happens, follow the prompts that are presented to you and install the plug-in. (In FireFox,
click on the "Manual" button to find the link to the plug-in download).

Welcome to the ~Banner Page. For login information, please refer to the menus on the left of the page.
Please note the new Banner Resources menu. This contains documentation about how to give users access,
change passwords and more. For the most current information specific to the Banner 7.3 upgrade, please click
here.
The links on the menu at the left will take you to the login pages for components of Dartmouth's student information system in
Production (Copper). The pages will open in a new browser window.
- Banner Forms is the application used by staff and administrators to maintain data about students, classes, etc.
You should enter Banner_Production as the database.
- Student Self-Service is the website used by students to interface with the Banner database. It is also used by
staff, faculty, and administrators for some purposes. Use your DND username and password to log in.
- AppWorx executes processes submitted through the Job Submission form in Banner Forms. Log in here to find
the output from your job. Note: available to Windows users only.
- AppWorx Job Output is another place to go to view the output from your jobs. This is available to both Mac and
Windows users.
- Discoverer Viewer lets you run reports created by other people in the Discoverer reporting tool. You should enter
Banner Production as the database when you define your connection.
- Discoverer Plus lets you create reports in the Discoverer reporting tool and grant access to them to other people.
Only some users have the ability to access this tool (you know who you are!).
- The Menu Information link will display this content again. Use this if you are looking at the Banner 7.3 News
and wish to return.
Other Menus
Three other menus are available to you at this website. You can bring up these menus by clicking on the links at the top of the page
or at the bottom of the Resources Menu.
- The Pre-production Menu contains links to login pages for various components of Dartmouth's student information system
using the Pre-production database (Iron).
- The Development Menu contains links to login pages for various components of Dartmouth's student information system
using the Development database (Zinc).
- The Testing Menu contains links to login pages for various components of Dartmouth's student information system
using the Testing database (Osmium).
- The Banner Resources Menu contains links to documentation to help you use Dartmouth's student information system.
