On February 1, 2007, President Wright announced steps Dartmouth is taking to put into effect the recommendations of McKinsey & Co. and the College committees implementing the McKinsey Report. One of the changes is that all the transactional aspects of staff hiring (including those previously handled by the Office of Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action in the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity) will henceforth be handled by the Office of Human Resources. Effective immediately, hiring managers should proceed as follows:
If you are about to begin a NEW search for a Staff Position (Hourly or Salaried) first contact your HR consultant. After speaking with him/her about your departments needs, including any changes to the role, the next step will be working with a professional recruiter in Human Resources to devise a recruiting strategy:
- Denise Robbins, Employment Recruiter, in the Office of Human Resources (blitzmail Denise Robbins or call x6-3765) is responsible for:
- Provost Administration, Office of General Counsel, Public Affairs, Thayer, Finance and Administration (except FOM and Hanover Inn), President's Office, Alumni Relations and Development.
- Jennifer Cocklin, Employment Recruiter, in the Office of Human Resources (blitzmail Jennifer Cocklin or call x6-3767) is responsible for:
- The Hanover Inn, FOM, Dean of the College, including Dartmouth Dining Services, Arts and Sciences, Tuck and DMS.
If You Are Handling an EXISTING Search for a Staff Position:
- Please contact the Employment Recruiter listed above for your division/department, who will begin to work with you on your search and coordinate the transition from EO/AA to HR in assisting you with your search.
Please direct any questions to the Employment Recruiter for your area listed above.
Thank you.
