Album Flower Paintings
album
Like most bunjinga artists, Tazaki Sôun
studied with many teachers during his long career. This small
album, which consists of twenty-three flower paintings, represents
the unique and highly personal style he eventually developed.
Most of the images in this album are ink monochrome but some,
such as this image of a lotus blossom, include touches of color
that highlight his expressive brushstrokes.
