Rauner Special Collections Library at Dartmouth- houses the Stefansson Collection on Polar Exploration. Founded as the private research collection of the Arctic explorer Vilhjalmur Stefansson (1879-1962), the collection is an exceptionally rich body of material for research on the Arctic and Antarctic. It is considered one of the world's premier collections on polar exploration. For additional information contact the Special Collection Librarian, Jay Satterfield.

Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth houses a sizeable collection, ranging from pre-historic artifacts to contemporary native art, from early whaling expeditions to native artifacts. This collection is available to support Dartmouth teaching on Arctic peoples. For additional information contact Katherine Hart, Curator of Academic Programming.
