2007-2008 is International Polar
Year!
The International Polar Year initiates a new era in
inter-disciplinary polar science. IPY 2007-2008 will emphasize the strong
links of the poles with the rest of the globe. IPY aims to educate and involve
the public, and to help train the next generation of engineers, scientists, and
leaders. The Institute of Arctic Studies activities contribute to these efforts
with officially endorsed IPY
project 160 and other events.
