Arabic language and literature courses are offered within the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Languages and Literatures (AMEL). In addition to Arabic language courses, the department offers a number of Arabic literature in translation courses as well as the opportunity to pursue more advanced studies in Arabic.

First-year Arabic language courses can be used to satisfy the foreign language requirement at Dartmouth College. In addition, Arabic Literature in translation courses can be used to satisfy the non-Western requirement.
