Aquinas
House, known as AQ, is the Catholic Campus Ministry and Student Center
at Dartmouth College. It is a ministry of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Manchester, N.H.,
and provides the sacramental, liturgical, pastoral, and spiritual
ministry of the Catholic Church to Dartmouth students. AQ is a
vibrant community of faith in which each person is strengthened to grow
closer to God through Jesus Christ and to live out our Catholic faith
in daily life. All baptized Catholic undergraduate and graduate
students comprise the ministry of Aquinas House and this community of
faith. It is here that our Catholic faith is taught, celebrated, and
lived, through a variety of spiritual, educational, and social
activities. All Dartmouth students, Catholic and non-Catholic,
are welcome at all events and activities.
All students
are welcome to use our facility as a place to pray, study, socialize,
and relax. Here you can share your faith and your
questions, be of service to others, and integrate the spiritual,
social, and academic aspects of your college life. The Campus
Ministers are here to serve you and are available to all Dartmouth
students and their families, Catholic and non-Catholic, for support in
faith and spiritual development, moments of crisis, grief, difficulties
in college life, or just when there is a need to talk over
something. Preparation for the reception of the Sacraments and
assistance to those who have been away from the Church is also
provided. The priest chaplains are friars of the Order of Friars
Preachers, commonly known as the Dominicans.
